This item (sold by amazon.com), according to the tracking code provided by Amazon, was sent to the Whitestown, IN site on February 10. It was scanned “arrival” (no location listed) on February 14 and scanned “arrival” (no location listed) again on February 17.
On February 16, I checked tracking and the expected manner of speaking date was February 17 (!).
Today, February 19, amazon.com still says expected manner of speaking date of February 17.
The USPS told me that it had only arrived at my local office on Feb. 19 (this morning). In view of the fact that it was shipped parcel post it could take up to 14 BUSINESS days to be delivered. If it gets delivered at all. I should call back in two weeks. And no, snow was not a factor in this.
Any amazon’s system is screwed up or the shipper’s system is screwed up. Any way it is not acceptable. I have never ordered anything listed as coming from amazon.com that was tracked incorrectly or that missed its expected manner of speaking day.
If I ever hear this phone I’ll post a review on it.
In the meantime, don’t expect manner of speaking for a month or two. If it ever gets delivered at all.

Wonderful communications “toy”! My last phone was 37yrs. ancient, so this device continues to be a revelation. The primary reason for choosing this one is its treatment of two AA batteries…not a terribly unique, off-the-wall type pack.
The only objection I have, albeit a small one, is that I’ve learned that you had BETTER ‘ave its “ear-speaker-hole” directly oer your ear (NOT anal) canal for proper hearing or you will surely commence
to believe that you are going deaf!

Like this phone works fantastic, has more features than most, fantastic signal quality, and best of all a excellent price. A must have for home owners.

My previous phone was simple and honestly ancient, so there was a learning curve with this one. Not everything is intuitive, such as moving the small stick up and down to change volume on the handset, or not using it much at all when navigating the menu. But once I got the hang of it, I got nice features like a directory for my most used numbers, and the ability to set ring tones for specific callers. Now I know whether I need to get up to answer during the huge game or just let the machine get it. The phone itself looks modern and stylish, and takes half the space my ancient one did. The signal quality is excellent, and unlike my ancient wireless phone this one isn’t picking up my neighbor’s conversations. The answering machine is very simple to use, though you better not lose the manual if you need to reset it at any point. That part required typing in codes and was a bit unlikable, but you won’t have to do it more than once. The ordinary rechargeable AAA batteries will be simple to replace when the time comes. I’m pleased with this product and expect to keep it for years to come.

I’m a senior who’s prime with technology has waned. I only use the simplist of mobile phones, no Ipods and the like – too damn complicated for my agreeable retired life. I’m not the generation that needs to be wired to the world – been there done that when I worked! When I first saw this Panasonic I nearly panicked – too many complicated features it seemed, but not so terrible after a few missteps setting it up and the instruction book does requires some thought. Desired features for me was simple turning off ringer and speaker phone – but are fantastic. I don’t use all the features and I don’t quite know some – like when someone calls where in hades does this thing store their number – sometimes its on the caller list and sometimes don’t seem to be. Still haven’t figured out how to add persons calling numbers to my directory. Not so honest forward as my ancient ancient AT&T freestyle. My feature rating is somewhat arbitrary and only based on a month of use. It seems substantial but not as heavy duty as my ancient – time will tell. Battery life seems excellent but mine is mostly kept in the base. Range covers all rooms in my small Honolulu apartment and a honest distance down the hall. Signal quality is quite excellent after the few annoying seconds of voice feedback in my ear when I first start talking – it quickly goes away but I’d prefer it not happen. Overall I’m quite pleased with my selection. I buy a lot from Amazon and base my decisions to buy on the reviews – hopes this helps someone.
