Note:* When power a product with this battery, the battery running time will vary depending on the product configuration, product model, applications loaded on the product, power management setting of the product, and the product features used by the customer, As with all batteries, the maximum capacity of this battery will decrease with time and treatment.

Battery Capacity Rating: 153 Watt-hour (Wh) capacity means the battery can theoretically last 153 hours if the device it powered only needs 1 Watt power. A typical 6-cell internal notebook battery?? capacity is about 49 Watt-hour. A typical 12-cell internal notebook battery?? capacity is about 98 Watt-hour. There are many different ways to rate a battery capacity on market. A lithium-ion battery cell capacity is usually measured in Ampere-hour (Ah). In view of the fact that an external battery uses many battery cells, some cells are connected in parallel, some are connected in series, using Watt-hour will be more accurate to rate its capacity. If using Ampere-hour to rate its capacity, it should state the Ampere-hour is under what voltage. For example, 9000 mAh at 16V means 9000 mAh x 15V = 135 Wh. If you find a battery that claims its capacity is 20000 mAh (20Ah) without stating at what voltage, most likely it is at 3.6V or 3.7V (3.6V or 3.7V is a lithium-ion battery cell voltage). In this case, the battery capacity will be 20 Ah x 3.7V =74 Watt-hour.

There is a 5V USB port on the battery behind USB port take in. You can use this 5V USB Port to charge cellular phone, MP3 player or other small electronics that can be charged from a 5V USB port. But, the battery pack does not come with any cable and connector tips for this USB port. Our optional Z4 cable and connector tips will work with this 5V USB port.

Comparisons of External Battery and Internal Battery

BP150 External Battery

Traditional Internal Battery

How to Charge battery Has its own charger , battery can be charged anytime without the laptop/notebook computer. Very convenient Must place battery into laptop/notebook computer or use pricey proprietary charger to charge battery How to use battery Plug to the laptop/notebook computer’s  DC  power input plug, plug and play. Insert the battery into the laptop/notebook computer’s battery bay. Compatibility Can be used for 90% of laptop/notebook computers on the market. When you upgrade  your laptop/notebook computer, you may still be able to use the battery for new laptop/notebook computer. Every internal battery is proprietary. Different laptop/notebook computer needs different battery. Other treatment Can provide 16V and 19V DC power for other electronic devices also. can only be used for designed laptop/notebook computers.

How to use this battery:

1. Charge the battery: This battery has its own battery charger, you can charge it from any 110V or 220V AC power source with the included AC Charger. You can also charge the battery from a car cigarette lighter with the included Car Charger

2. Set right output voltage:

After the battery has been fully charged, set the voltage output of the battery close to your notebook DC power input requirement (which is same as your notebook AC power adapter’s DC output voltage).

This battery has a switch to set the voltage output at 16V or 19V. 16V is well-matched with 15V~16.5V, 19V is well-matched with 18V~21V.

If your notebook DC input requirement is 15~16.5V, set the battery voltage output at 16V. If your notebook DC power input requirement is 18V ~ 21V, set the battery voltage output at 19V.

2. Select right tip:

Included with your battery is a output cable with  more than 14 different connector plug tips.

The output cable (Z6 Power Cable) one end connect to the battery output port, another end has a 5,5mm/2.5mm connector which will fit a lot laptop notebook computers and other devices.

If the Z6 cable connector does not fit your laptop notebook computers, you can use one of  following connector plgu tips  that work with most  laptop notebook computers.  With the plug tips not connected to Z6 output  cord, locate the right tip by fitting the tip into your laptop notebook computer or other device DC Jack. The tip should fit snugly in the DC jack. The plug the tip to the Z6 output power cable.

4. Check the polarity:

If you want to use this battery for other devices instead of laptop notebook computers, it is CRITICAL to make sure the polarity of your device matches with this battery output polarity before using this battery. FAILURE TO DO SO MAY RESULT IN SEVERE DAMAGE TO YOUR DEVICE!

To determine the right polarity for your device, inspect the DC adapter jack or the mark of your device thoroughly for information about the device polarity. There will be a symbol with a plus sign on one side and a minus sign on the other with a circle between them. The circle will have an opening so that it looks like a “C”. If the opening of the circle is on the side with the plus sign the polarity is positive. If the opening is on the side with minus sign the polarity is negative. If you cannot find a polarity sign on your device you need to call the device’s manufacturer to find out what the polarity is.

This battery output cable and connectors are configured as positive polarity, which meet the needs of most of laptop computers and devices.

5.  Plug the connector and output cord

After select right connector, plug it on the Z6 output cord, then plug output cord to the battery output port:

Just that simple, now you are ready to use it !

Note: If your notebook?? internal battery is in excellent condition and has been fully charged, you can leave it in your notebook. Otherwise, we recommend you removing the internal battery from it. The external battery will still work fine with the non-charged internal battery in the notebook, but it may not reach the maximum running time

How long can this external battery run ?

This battery’s capacity is 153Wh(Watt-hour).You can compare this capacity with your internal battery capacity to figure out how long this battery can run your notebook. For example, if you have a 9-cell internal battery with output like this: 11.1V & 6600 mAh, then, your internal battery capacity is: 11.1V x 6600 mAh = 73 Wh (Watt-hour). In this case, if your internal notebook battery runs 3-4 hours, then this external battery pack can run about 6- 8 hours, together, they can run 9 ~ 12 hours. Real running time varies, depending on the notebook computer’s configurations and applications (Ex: screen brightness, the use of the CPU, the hard handbook, the CD handbook, etc.). The total run-time of the battery is also heavily dependent upon the design of the notebook. To ensure maximum performance of the battery, optimize the computer’s power management features. Refer to the computer manual for further instructions.

The High Value Of Marine Satellite Phones

Imagine how Moby Dick would have turned out if marine satellite phones were available way back when. Really, it wouldn’t have been that different…Ahab would probably just spend a lot more time complaining to his phone service provider. Nevertheless, you are in a perfect position to take advantage of marine phones. Why do you need these phones? Why are they so different from cellular phones? Glad you questioned…

Marine satellite phones are based on satellite technology. This means that your phone antenna will communicate with an orbiting satellite and bring you service directly from that network. Satellite technology requires a clear view of the sky, and if there’s anything you do have when sailing on a boat out on the open sea, it is a clear view of the sky! A marine phones connection does work differently than a cell phone company. A cell phone company requires that the customer be nearby one of their established towers for service. Right, you could travel all the way around the country and still find a tower that will give you service. But, out on the ocean or in a large lake, this type of connection is not possible because there aren’t any towers located for miles. The same may be right for island or deep rural territories. Marine sat phones are not everlastingly guaranteed to work anywhere in the world. This is because there are laws against using satellite phones in innumerable countries. Besides, most companies choose to focus on just one country or region.

Marine phones can cost anywhere from $250 to $3,000 dollars, depending on the performance of the phone, the stability and clarity of the connection and any additional features. Other factors to consider contain Internet connectivity (a ordinary option offered by satellite phone companies) and the price per call. Some calls can cost fifteen cents to two dollars when placed from marine satellite phones or cost even more when made to a satellite phone from a mobile phone or landline phone. The excellent news is that the person you call from a sat phone usually doesn’t have to pay anything. So this is plainly a case of don’t call the “boss”, he’ll call you! Bear in mind that all satellite companies are trying to remain competitive and so may offer special deals on unlimited calling or even a prepaid plot.

There are many advantages that could come from using marine satellite phones. You could make vital phone calls at any time, hear phone calls at anytime or even talks while out on the ocean. Another advantage of Marine sat phones is that unlike cellular phones or terrestrial cell antennas, they are not especially prone to natural disasters. Natural disasters usually take out cell towers and terrestrial lines. With marine satellite phones, in view of the fact that the connection happens from space and your ship, you are everlastingly protected and connected.

If you frequently travel or must be available at all times even when you’re out at sea, then buying marine satellite phones is a shrewd go.

Sony Ericsson C905 + S302 – Attacking Both High and Low End Mobile Phones!

During 2008, one manufacturer is intent on moulding the game of camera-enabled mobile phones. That phone-maker is Sony Ericsson, and they plot to dominate not just the market in top-end camera phones, but bottom-end handsets, as well!

Camera phones evolve – the Sony Ericsson legacy

It’s fitting, when you reckon about it, that Sony Ericsson should be the ones leading the way in the coming model shift amongst camera-equipped mobile phones. Come on, it was they who kicked it all off, way back in 2002. Let’s not forget that they were the first company to unleash a mobile phone that had a camera in it, within the UK. That handset was the Sony Ericsson P800, but it didn’t really hit the mass market in the way that Sony Ericsson would’ve liked, in view of the fact that it was an amazingly (compared to other mobile phones at the time) top-end smartphone. But, their most iconic phone ever was about to hit the market, and that one WOULD have huge mass market appeal. It was the Sony Ericsson T610, and it changed the playing field. Here you had a handset that stood proudly over the other mobile phones it was up against. It was small, it was slim, and customers went MENTAL for it. The key thing was… the Sony Ericsson T610 also had a built-in camera, and that it was really the first handset to hit that mass audience, and make broadcast reckon, ‘Hang on, we really do want our mobile phones to have cameras in ‘em!’

Today, the camera phone world has split, into low-end devices, and high-end camera-equipped mobile phones; well, it’s honest to say that Sony Ericsson really terribly want to rule both!

Sony Ericsson S302 – snazzy and snappy

Say you want a Sony Ericsson camera phone, but not a mega-massive smartphone. If so, then the Sony Ericsson S302, the first phone to come from their whole new Snapshot line, is absolutely perfect for you. It’s a fantastic small device, with a compact, sexy bombard, a gorgeous screen, and a groovy small multimedia browser. As well as that, despite this being classed in the ‘budget phone’ category, the Sony Ericsson S302 has got a fantastic small 2 megapixel camera. Ok, you don’t get autofocus, but considering that it’s a budget snapper, it’s brilliant!

But, that’s an entry-level mobile phone… how about if you need a touch that’s got real clout? how about if you want one of Sony Ericsson’s Cyber-Shot line…?

Sony Ericsson C905 – the ultimate camera phone?

There’s no denying power, and a touch is very clear: the Sony Ericsson C905 has much more raw power than any other mobile phones you can buy in the UK. How come? Simple, this is the first camera phone to be unleashed upon the UK with an 8 megapixel camera. Yes, you read that right. EIGHT. That’s a ridiculously high pixel resolution, and it means that the Sony Ericsson C905 gives you the power to take the absolute sharpest photos you’ve ever witnessed, from any camera-equipped mobile phone, in the world. Oh, and of course, remember that Sony Ericsson have powered it up with Cyber-Shot technology, and that will make the photos it produces so much more sumptuous. Add in a stunning multimedia player, WiFi, HSDPA and built-in GPS, and you have to come to the end that the Sony Ericsson C905 is, without doubt, the top of the heap!

Expert in mobile phones, having worked in the industry for over 7 years.

Time Warner High Speen Internet And Phone Packages

When HD sets first started appearing in stores in 1998 folks were amazed at the sharpness HDTV offered over ordinary TV sets. In view of the fact that then thousands of broadcast have bought new TVs to take advantage of wide screen pictures with DVDs and high definition cable and satellite channels. While many broadcast still haven’t made the jump, a recent technology breakthrough has made even HDTV aficionados take notice. Developed by Sony, Blu-Ray has pushed TV resolutions to a new level. Just a couple years gone, nobody had a clue what format would become the inheritor to DVD, but now Blu-Ray has won the battle and I’ll tell you why you should consider count Blu-Ray to your home entertainment system.

Though investigate started in 2000, Sony and its partners did not present a final commercial product till mid 2006. The name Blu-Ray comes from the blue laser that is utilized to read information from a Blu-Ray formatted disc. This contrasts with the red laser utilized to read regular DVD discs. But why is Blu-Ray better than existing DVD formats?  Even though Blu-Ray discs and players don’t look any different than regular DVDs, they can store much more information that means sharper picture, improved audio, and more special features. DVDs can hold up to 8 gbs. of data while Blu-Ray discs can hold fifty gigabytes. Quite a difference. The max resolution of a DVD is 720×480 lines whereas Blu-Ray has a max of 1920×1080 (also called full hi-def). If you have spent $1000 or more on a 1080p television, you are essentially not exploiting everything the television can deliver when viewing ordinary DVDs.

Originally prices for Blu-Ray players were way beyond what an average consumer wished to pay. Price tags between $700 and $1000 were ordinary for first generation Blu-Ray players. And, there was another competing ordinary on the store shelves that made plenty of bewilderment. Toshiba and NEC introduced their own DVD stay on-up device with the manner of speaking of the HD DVD format. HD DVD, with a storage capability of 15 gigs, was an improvement over regular DVDs but couldn’t equal the specifications of Blu-Ray. But HD DVD did have some marketplace benefits. First, HD DVD was on the market 3 months before Blu-Ray. Second, HD DVD devices where a small less pricey to produce and were sold cheaper as a consequence. Finally, HD DVD had more Hollywood studios on board at launch than Sony did which meant more movies were at first available while Blu-Ray stayed scarce.

Sony had a huge ploy up their sleeve that quite possibly saved Blu-Ray from a Betamax fate. Sony included a Blu-Ray player into their highly anticipated PlayStation three and sold the entire device for a bit less than most stand alone players were being sold for at the time. Quickly, Blu-Ray started making strides till shortly it outsold HD DVD 2-to-1 by late 2007. More movie studios started to commit to the Blu-Ray format really, starting with Warner Brothers in early 2008. Shortly after Toshiba bunged making HD DVD players and recorders. By the end of 2008 rental firms Netflix and Blockbuster, as well as major stores, announced they would no longer carry HD DVD movies. Now all major studios release their pictures on Blu-Ray. A couple have continued to produce HD DVD and Blu-Ray releases concurrently.

Expenditure have fallen dramatically over the last few years as well. Many huge name brand Blu-Ray players from firms like Panasonic and LG can easily be found between $150 and $250. Blu-Ray disc recorders are in the $200 – $400 range and dropping just as quick. For anyone that likes viewing movies at home and has invested in a high definition television, now is a wonderful time to have a look at count a Blu-Ray player to your setup. Even persons who could be skeptical about Blu-Ray’s enhancements over DVD owe it themselves to head down to their local electronics store and question for a Blu-Ray revelation. The picture clearness and audio fidelity from Blu-Ray is truly brilliant.

Photograph the Perfect Moment with a Casio High Speed Pocket Camera

Ever in view of the fact that I read about the Casio high speed camera, I was fascinated by its features. The camera promised 1000 frames per second (fps) shooting at incredible 1/40,000 sec. speed! I weighed the pros and cons of getting the normal 20x optical zoom model or the pocket version. The pocket version had a lower optical zoom of 5x but there could be more fun carrying it inoffensively to parties and social functions. So I ordered the Casio Exilim Ex-FC100 camera from a shop in New York and received it by UPS within a few days.

I opened the box and looked at the small 156g camera which was about the size of a normal cell phone, just a small wider and thicker. But on closer look, there seem to be many buttons on it which looked unfamiliar to me.

The first remarkable difference is that the movie mode has its own dedicated ON-OFF record button separate from the normal shutter button for taking pictures. This facilitates the taking of snapshots even when the movie clip is being shot!

Just below the movie record button is a rotary toggle to change from ordinary to high definition HD mode. The camera is competent of taking a HD movie at 1280×720 pixels at 30 fps. The STD mode supports high speed movies at 210 fps, 420 fps and 1000 fps. As you climb privileged on the fps scale, the size of the persona reduces proportionately. The size of the persona at 480×360 pixels at 210 fps is acceptable format for YouTube.

I tried shooting the running away of pigeon at different speeds, and was surprised at the 1000 fps movie clip. The recorded slow movement of the wings was a pleasure to mind. It showed how nature has perfected its flying machine; you can see it at YouTube:  7RC2W97_yz0. I recorded a man walking at 210 fps and it unfolded the walking movements which were not evident at normal speed. The movie of a bird flying in the sky at 420 fps was also fun to see.

But I soon learned the limitation of the high speed function. The built-in flash did not support high speed and therefore shooting HS at home or at night does not give the desired results. The clips are stark due to high ISO and don’t look that fantastic. The high speed function is therefore useful in shooting sports and fascinating movements at outdoor settings preferable in sunlight or really bright light. I shot a movie of the running away of a butterfly in my garden at 420 fps. The movie turned out to be an art film! My jerky hand movements were smoothened by the high speed into a charming flowing composition! See it on YouTube at 7Q_wZVawYMA

After exploring the movie mode, I went on to see what the camera does for the snapshots. I searched for the normal aperture and speed priority settings, but did not find any. The exposure therefore is completely automatic and the camera selects the best exposure by setting the aperture, speed and ISO (in auto mode) on its own. There is nothing manual setting about it.

What requires manual settings are a host of options correlated to speed. Looking at these features you know that it is a versatile high speed camera with the makings ability to give you the perfect shot every time. When an event is happening at a quick pace, it is very hard to capture the right moment. By the time you press the shutter button, you may have missed the exact moment. There are 3 ways by which the camera helps you overcome this glide over: (1) by offering you a selection from a series of 6M images taken at upto 30 fps just before and after clicking the button; it does that in high speed continuous shooting CS mode or (2) by getting the camera to show you the action in slow motion for you to click at the right moment. When you point and shoot at an object by critical the button “Slow” located at the top left, the camera starts to record images for the time period chosen by you which can be 1, 2 or 3 seconds. The camera then plays out the stored images slowly at speed chosen by you within the scale of 1 to 8. As the images are played on the screen you have plenty of time to click the right moment of the event by critical the shutter button. Only the frame which you click is saved on the camera. And finally (3), by capturing and saving manifold pictures at 1 fps in the normal speed continuous mode. The camera takes and saves the 9M sized images as long as the shutter button remains pressed. You can then select the shots that you like. All these three modes give you ways to capture images over the duration of the event so that you do not miss out the precise moment. I found that this was the unique and most useful ability of the camera.

On the mundane duty of the camera to take 9M single frame shots, the quality of the pictures at normal settings was not satisfactory. I found that I needed to set Quality at Fine, Sharpness at +2, Saturation at -1 and Contrast at +1 to obtain excellent shots comparable with my Panasonic camera. The other picture parameters are simple set quickly. Press the button on the bottom right labeled BS which stands for Best Shot. Thumbnail images showing different scenes like outdoor, shade, portrait, high contrast etc. open up on the screen. Just contest the scene you are going to shoot with corresponding one and viola; all the settings are automatically done.

Overall, I find that the camera can be used to capture a series of pictures covering the time-span of the event from which selection could be made. This is a unique solution to capture the right moments which makes our chosen photographs more eye-catching and free of mis-timed shots. I really do not know whether there is any practical value in everyday shooting for its ability to make slow motion movies with high speed recording, though it’s an fascinating gimmick. It may have some specific applications in analyzing the movements of sportsmen and actors. The ability of the camera to do HD movies is positively a welcome feature. The EX-FC 100 is undoubtedly a significant step forward in camera innovation. Casio merits applause for launching such a creative camera in the market. As for me, it’s the camera that I would be carrying in my pocket wherever I go.
