Nokia Vertu Cell Phone – luxcellphone
I can’t do a review on this phone, because I simply can’t afford one. I stumbled upon one of these phones for sale at an online auction site, that had a listing price of five thousand dollars.
I then chose to do a search of these phones for a better understanding of them, as I hadn’t heard of them before. Was I that ignorant of such high-end luxury products? The five thousand dollar price I saw, was low-cost compaired to the prices that I read about after I did some investigate.
How about spending millions on a cell phone? Would you spend that much? I can’t commence to imagine a price tag that high for a cell phone. For this price, they are loaded with diamonds, precious gem stones, gold, and other extras that are over-the-top for the very wealthy.
For 1.3 million, you can get a phone that is studded with diamonds, and is platinum covered. This is a Crypto smart phone-not a Vertu, but I thought I would throw in the information, in case you are looking for that special gift.
This is truly vertu phone bling, and at it’s finest. Phones are being made by Nokia that are ranging in price from around 6,500, to 72,500.
I read where every phone has access to a concierge service. I don’t know how many times I have needed that! And, what about sapphire-encrusted keypads? What happens if you drop one of these phones? Who wants broken sapphires? I reckon I would rather have gems on jewelry pieces, than on a cell phone.
I went to the vertu cell phone website to learn more about the phones. They are made in England, in a high-security building. I would hope so! I thought it was weird that they would even mention “high security” in describing the building. One would tend to reckon it would have a lot of security, production with the materials that the phones are made of. It seems like the way it was worded, was amusing to me.
I searched at the site for where they can be bought. I did a search for the United States, and they are only sold in fifteen states, mine not being one of them.
There is a link off of the website, that is titled, “Obsessive Craftmanship.” One would hope so, for these prices.
Each phone is built by hand. I estimate I will just have to win a lottery to experience such vertu luxury phone luxury. On second thought, I don’t know if I would buy one. Would I even fell safe carrying one around? And again, dropping a phone this pricey would be a huge concern.

Nokia 5800 and Nokia N97 – Mobile Phones That Deserve our Respect
There’s no doubt the iPhone gave everyone who makes mobile phones a wake up call. And now, the largest name in phones has answered that call with TWO new handsets: the sleek Nokia 5800 and the terrifyingly mind-blowing Nokia N97.
Why should we care if Nokia make touchscreen phones?
It’s a question that some broadcast have questioned, and it’s quite an vital one… Nokia plainly have a massive market share. And yet, they’re only just started making mobile phones with touchscreens. Given that their previous forays into the world of touchscreen phones have been scarce at best and downright unusable at worst, why now should things be any different? Why should be that interested in the Nokia 5800 or the Nokia N97?
Well, there’s a simple answer to that: the iPhone. By that, I mean that the iPhone has made every manufacturer up their game, and look at how their mobile phones work, how they interact with the user, and how they can enrich the user’s life. Nokia, it seems, have taken that to heart, and have made an entirely new operating system; a whole new software world to build their touchscreen phones on. That, in itself is a compelling reason to pay attention to their new handsets, but it’s not just about the software. How we, as users, react to mobile phones is based purely on our feelings, and what Nokia have done here is craft a pair of mobile phones that can genuinely make you feel better than ever!
Nokia 5800 – touch and listen…
The first phone up is a completely new member of Nokia’s Xpress range of music mobile phones, the gorgeous Nokia 5800. This phone is pretty obviously built for music and media, as it has a dedicated XpressMusic touch-key that opens a list of links to music, videos, the internet, and more. Then, of course, the Nokia 5800 has a 3.2 inch touch-sensitive show, to let you use persons different media content.
Essentially, the Nokia 5800 was designed to be a teeny portable entertainment centre, and as music devices go, this is just about the prettiest. The Nokia 5800 has also got a 3 megapixel camera, HSDPA internet connection and sat-nav, so that it’s a brilliant all-round mobile phone, on top of being a wonderful media box. Oh, and it has a strap to fasten on an imitation guitar pick. That is really very funky. But, the Nokia 5800 is very certainly a mid-range phone; it’s not, nor was it ever meant to be, a full-stout powerhouse. That job falls to another device…
Nokia N97 – raw, phone-based power
With the Nokia 5800 on course to bring touchscreen mobile phones to the mid-range market, that leaves a very huge gap at the very top-end of the product range; well, there IS a touch-based mobile phone coming soon to take its place as the top-end powerhouse: the utterly awesome Nokia N97. This uses the same Symbian S60 Touch operating system and packages it within the bombard of a proper, full-stout smartphone.
So it has a massive, 3.5 inch screen, a flip out QWERTY keyboard, and the camera’s been upgraded to 5 megapixels. The Nokia N97 is, as should be glaringly obvious, destined to be the new flagship Nseries mobile phone, and it’s truly as high-spec as we’d heard from rumours, with HSDPA, GPS, digital compass, and integrated Flash, importance you have an internet experience like no other mobile phones! Place simply the Nokia N97 is unbelievable. It gleefully relieves itself over other mobile phones and while the Nokia 5800 aims to take over the mid-range, I’m predicting that the Nokia N97 will utterly DOMINATE the world next year!

The Converged Future of Nokia Siemens
The amalgamation of the network divisions of Nokia and Siemens follows the tie-ups between major sellers Alcatel and Lucent as well as Ericsson and Marconi.
Nokia Siemens CEO-designate, Simon Beresford-Wylie, told at the 3GSM World Congress here in Barcelona the possibility company was’day one ready’ and spotted that its mixed product portfolio was being shown to consumers for the 1st time last week.
Other areas where expenditure can be shaved contain procurement, a rationalisation of sales and selling functions, consolidated IT systems and property.
‘We need to lose the religion,’ he announced, noting the possibility company would have a portfolio that encompassed a large range of wireless technologies including GSM, CDMA and WiMAX. Open standards would be necessary to its possibility product rollouts, he asserted, and he advised that tries to start an exclusive and closed mobile Web during the past were misguided. ‘There is only 1 Web and I believe we misunderstood that as a business. Services and content [in the possibility] will come mostly from the Net and we must know that,’ Beresford-Wylie clarified. The possibility Boss also revealed trends thru until 2015, with the combined entity expecting the amount of’connected’ users to double to five bn..
He was expecting more of these to be broadband-enabled, noting that today we’re’still living in a world that is narrowband.’ He also anticipated users in rising markets to make the transition to broadband quicker thanks to new technologies like WiMAX.
‘Broadband in the third world will not take decades but will occur in the following couple of years,’ he advised. Commenting on the possibility company’s new brand, Beresford-Wylie recounted that it was a mirrored persona of’dynamism, movement and renewal.’ Like the telco world’s other recent alliance, Alcatel-Lucent, the emblem of Nokia Siemens uses a wave shape and purple color, in this example mixed with yellow ( Alcatel-Lucent is all purple ). But, the likenesses end there, according to Beresford-Wylie, who advised the 2 companies’ similar cultures and walking distance in Europe would make it a better fit than one enterprise from Europe and another from the US. In another interview with Database, Stephan Scholz, the appointed head of study, Technology and Platforms for Nokia Siemens Networks, expounded the new company would devote equal RD resources to WiMAX as it does to conventional mobile phone technologies.
Whilst more of a longer-term initiative, the creation of modular software for OSS / BSS functions was crucial and a touch that was required on an industry-wide scale, according to Scholz, who designated it as one of the 1st projects he would likely start as head of analysis. He also spoke of his surprise at the extent of the present Nokia OSS / BSS platform for mobile networks, exclaiming it was’much more than I was aware of.’ Scholz, who has been working in carrier development at Siemens, advised the platform might be changed so that it could also be used for fixed and converged networks in possibility. Other investigate focusses he suggested were for carrier Ethernet assembly and a single database for customer information that is ordinary irrespective of the attention or service used. The 50:50 joint venture is predicted to have 6 business units when it commences operations : Radio Access, Service Core and Applications, Operation Support Systems, Broadband Access, IP / Transport and Services.

How Sexy Nokia 6265 Proves CDMA Can Be!
It’s ordinary belief amongst cell phone fanatics that GSM phones are sleeker, sexier, smaller, and more advanced than their CDMA sisters. And that’s a problem for Americans who don’t get to see, let alone hold and use, the high-tech gadgets that come out in Europe and Asia before US carriers even start to consider them.
US Carriers Sprint and Verizon are CDMA giants that usually dictate what we see in North America, while GSM handsets often make their way crosswise the ocean in the grey market, unlocked and ready to use on AT&T, T-Mobile or Rogers Wireless in Canada. The frequencies don’t everlastingly work the best over here, but many fans of the designs don’t care. Persons fans often won’t use CDMA phones because of the lack of variety and “wow” factor.
GSM phones use SIM cards, which allow you to go your entire wireless account from phone to phone at will, while CDMA phones only use the sister technology RUIM cards in Asia.
But now the CDMA world has just changed. A right sexy, high-end phone has been launched exclusively on Canada’s Telus network… the Nokia 6265i.
This phone looks like a GSM phone to most cell phone users, and it has the features to back that assumption up — and yet it’s CDMA all the way, baby!
If you find yourself confused by what you’ve read to this point, don’t despair. Everything should be crystal clear by the time you end.
It’s a slider form factor, a touch Nokia perfected long before LG and Kyocera started dabbling in phones that slide. This slide is spring-loaded with a ball bearing, making a charming motion with the tiniest flick of the thumb, similar to the recent highly priced Nokia 8801, a GSM phone, but with a slightly different means that slides over the keys inside of up and out.
When closed, the 6265 has a mirror-like screen which is a cool QVGA resolution… privileged than any other competitor phone screens, and matched only by more pricey PDA units.
The high-res screen is matched by the unheard-of 2 Mega-pixel camera, a first for CDMA phones in North America. And not only do the stills capture in 2 Mega pixels, close to twice what the closest competitor delivers at 1.3 Mega pixels, but the video capabilities are unparalleled as well. Imagine… unlimited video clips, rather than 15 second clips, as long as you still have memory available. And in view of the fact that it takes Mini-SD expandable memory cards, you can take that up to 2 GB.
The Bluetooth functionality on this phone is completely free to transfer files and data phone to phone, phone to computer, and phone to printer, unlike most Bluetooth CDMA phones which only support headset profiles.
And for music, this goes way beyond an MP3 phone. This new Nokia supports the cutting edge eAAC+ format, which makes files six times smaller than an MP3 with the same signal quality. Now your 2 GB card has just become 12 GB — who needs an i-Pod?
So for a new, sleek, sexy look to the CDMA front, don’t miss the new Nokia 6265i — if you can get it! It’s usually on back order!
With a bit of luck the sections above have contributed to your understanding of cell phone, mobile phone. Share your new understanding about cell phone, mobile phone with others. They’ll thank you for it.
