Toyota Creates A Solar Option For The Prius

In view of the fact that its introduction in 1997, the Toyota Prius has seen a variety of changes including a groundbreaking new makeover in 2003.  Right now the Toyota Corporation has announced that it has teamed up the Kyocera Company in order to start and manufacture Prius cars with that will have the tools to run off of solar energy.

The Toyota Corp has made solar panels that will be installed on the top of the new cars in order to generate the power.  Right now, the car cannot run on the solar energy, but consumers who do buy the car will be able to run their air conditioning or the heat simply by using the sun’s energy.  As you can see, this can greatly help to decrease the amount of car batteries that broadcast have to replace each year.

Kyocera has been known to make a variety of smart products including cells phones, routers and solar panels.  The solar panels will be designed to fit the Prius and will not use more than 5 kilowatts of energy.  As small as 2 kilowatts may be used simply to turn on the air-conditioning while driving your new car.  The solar panels are incredibly thin and lightweight, unlike the panels that you might see on the tops of homes all over the country.  The roof will really look like there are two long stripes running down the roof of the Prius.

As technology wears on, we should be able to recharge our hybrid cars with these solar panels.  Kyocera will continue to work with Toyota in hopes of making panels that will produce enough energy to make the car run and handbook for longer periods of time.  As long as you have the sun on your side, you will be able to get anywhere without using a gallon of gas.  The hybrid should also have the plug-in technology that will now enable broadcast to, you guessed it, plus their cars in and recharge!

While the new solar energized Toyota Prius is still being developed for the broadcast, there is a lot of promise in this particular car.  Toyota has been known to reckon outside of the box in terms of making cars that are simple and cost effective to use on a daily basis.  The Prius will be introduced later on next year and will reflect the same prices that you have seen on the current market today.  This particular Toyota breed will never have to be seen on the recall list!
